We use new ink caps for each customer, tubes are sterilised and needles are sterile and single use.
The ink we use is EEC compliant and is made of natural pigments, however an allergic reaction to some colours can occur, but is quite uncommon.

Remove the cling-film after 2-3 hours and wash your new tattoo with a clean disposable cloth and water
(you can add a bit of antiseptic or antibacterial non perfumed soap if you want).

Pat the tattoo dry and apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare (or Savlon cream) on the tattoo. Recover the tattoo with a new piece of cling film and tape it all around making sure it’s air tight (the use of Micropore, Finepore or Elastoplast tape is recommended rather than the use of normal cello tape). Do this for 5 days changing the cling film once or twice a day.

After the 5 days, leave your tattoo free to breathe under loose clothing and keep it moist at all time until fully healed (which may take another week or two). You will know the tattoo is fully healed when the skin over it feels smooth again.

During full healing, don’t soak your tattoo in water (no bath, no swimming, no saunas), don’t expose it to the sun (which includes sun bed), don’t pick at it (no matter how tempting it can be), don’t scratch it (no matter how itchy it is).

GENERAL AFTERCARE GUIDELINES

  • Don’t be at your piercing except while cleaning, always wash your hands before touching it.
  • Avoid swimming pools (chlorine would slow the healing) and baths (soap is an irritant) during the healing time.
  • Avoid any pressure or tension on the pierced area as it may lengthen the healing time or cause the jewellery to migrate.
  • You can consider supplementing your diet with Vitamin C, E and Zinc tablets to support healing.
  • A one-week course of arnica (tablets or drop) prior to the piercing would boost your immune system and promote a faster healing.
  • Wear clean loose clothing over the piercing and change your bed linens often.
  • A healthy lifestyle and diet means a faster healing, so less chances of infection.

AFTERCARE PROCEDURE

Use a saline solution, an antibacterial non-perfumed soap (diluted), or a piercing aftercare. Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning.

Clean twice a day using one of the above and good quality cotton buds. Soak the cotton bud with the solution and clean one exit of the piercing removing gently any of the scab and trying to clean from the skin towards the jewellery, this to prevent any of the scab entering the piercing. Use as many cotton buds as you need.

Push the clean side into the piercing and clean the other exit the same way.
The use of tea-tree oil after cleaning can help irritation on some piercings like navel or nipple.
After cleaning the piercing, make sure to dry off the exits.

Don’t use any creams or ointments on the piercing as they leave sticky residues that may prevent oxygen to reach the wound
(that’s what your piercing is!).

For tongue or inside the mouth (Labret, Monroe, Smiley):

  • Use an antiseptic mouthwash (alcohol free preferably) and rinse any time you eat or drink anything else than water. No alcohol during the first week of healing, no kissing for the first 2 or 3 weeks.
  • It is recommended to buy a new toothbrush (especially for tongue) and to brush softly any part of the jewellery sticking out as plaque may form onto it. To limit the swelling following the piercing, suck on ice cubes.
  • During the first weeks of healing avoid hot and spicy food, acidic drinks (orange juice), too much coffee or tea (caffeine).
Pick easy to chew food and take your time eating.
